Justin Nozuka - After Tonight - With Lyrics!

After tonight:
This is one of my favorite songs by one of my favorite artists, Justin Nozuka. I’ve seen Justin Nozuka play this song in interviews online, as well as in concert, so I know that when he sings this song, he is singing to a girl and it is about worldly love. In the interview I’ve seen he talks about how this song has to do with him "being the perfect situation for her and taking care of all of her wishes” so she can let go of all of her worries.  He writes, “I know that after tonight you don’t have to look up at the stars no.”  This line implies that she doesn’t have to look to some unknown being or to some far out ideals but can trust him right then and there.

This is song is meaningful to me because while we as humans long for this worldly love, God is there loving us with the most pure, unselfish love there is. The focus of this song is love.  But God is the actual definition of love. God wants to be the one to cover us with his love and his security.  If we choose to trust him then he can take care of all of those things that weigh us down in this life.

  1. This song makes me wonder what we, as young Americans, think love really is. Many people seem to be under the impression that love is all about being able to touch your spouse/partner/boyfriend/girlfriend anywhere anytime anyhow you like.
Unfortunately, most Americans have little concept of what love really means. The root of many societal problems is the inability to forge deep, meaningful relationships. And if they can't forge a meaningful relationship with each other, how can we expect them to forge one with God?

  2. I used to work at an ice cream place and one of my friends would put this song on and I never actually figured out who it was. Thanks for posting. I think I have a new CD to be on the look out for
